This is a stunning Art Deco bracelet featuring these magnificent bezel set amethyst glass squares which are separated by complicated gold fill/sterling silver open panels. The centres of the open panels are stepped and surrounded by highly crafted filigree metal. The bracelet is secured by a push in clasp and a safety chain. It is hallmarked with the British symbol for sterling silver, at the Birmingham assay office, the anchor. It also carries the marks DOUBLE and a triangle with RW engraved inside. These presumably are the initials of the silversmith.
This bracelet is in excellent vintage condition. It is rare to find such an excellent example of early 20th Century craftsmanship. The bold design and vivid colour ensures that this piece will never go out of fashion. Furthermore, sterling silver is an excellent medium to work with as its strength does not fail over time.
The bracelet measures 7 1/2" in length and 3/4" wide
